I’m running 7 Marathons in 7 Days around Central Park to raise money for the Sunrise Movement. This youth-led organization aims to stop climate change and create millions of good jobs in the process.
Our world isn’t “dying,” it is actively being killed. Fossil fuel moguls, governmental powers, and corporations are profiting off of ecological destruction while millions of people face the deadly repercussions. And while humans may cause immense harm to our planet, this earth will
outlive us and our ability to cause its destruction. We are the ones that will be left behind.
If this statement sounds bleak, it’s because it’s a reflection of where we are headed if we don’t
make drastic change. We are teetering on the edge of no-return.
